Sanibel Island

Sanibel is world renowned for its beautiful, protected wetlands and the easy pace of island life. Walking the beach, shelling and bird watching has been the goal of many looking for an alternative to a busy world. The island offers many types of condominiums and homes, on and off water. At the end of September 2022, Hurricane Ian directly hit the island and the damage was unbelievable, with over 15’ of storm surge. The devastation to the natural plant life has been generational. Most structures have experienced damage as well. Because of this, the island is experiencing a huge shift in ownership. It will be years before we again see “normal” conditions. The real estate market will see many changes over the next few years, and keep in mind with all the revitalization, the future still looks wonderful for this great island.
